Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are feuding, and the plot just significantly thickened…
It transpires that Taylor might have actually known for a while now that that conversation was recorded.
Why do people think this? Well, firstly, the more eagle-eyed among you have spotted on the iPhone “notes” statement that Taylor made, the “search” button wasat the top. Now, normally when you start a new note, it says “back” at the top.
The fact that Taylor’s note said “search” strongly suggests that the statement was written ahead of time, and then searched forand released in light of Kim’s audio tape leak. This would suggest that Taylor knew it was coming…
Maybe she just wrote it earlier in the day, went through a few drafts and got her no-doubt extensive PR team to check it over, but if it was written on the same day, would she have really needed to “search” for it?
Then there’s the even more damning fact that TMZ have reportedly obtained a letter from Taylor’s lawyers, sent to Kanye’s attorneymonths ago. The letter makesit clear that anybody who secretly records a telephone conversation is committing a felony, and is liable to prosecution. Now, unless Kanye makes a habit of recording incriminating conversations, it’s likely that this (alleged) letter is referring to the tapes that Kim just leaked.
The letter reportedly reads:
“Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated.”
Kanye clearly didn’t delete any such recording. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see if Taylor goes ahead with that lawsuit, but in any case, she might have just been caught lying again.
Do you think Taylor knew about the recording? Does it really matter? Let us know in the comments.
